Defending champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets continue to struggle in the TNM Super League as they were held to a goalless draw by Kamuzu Barracks (KB) at Civo Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Both sides created a number of scoring opportunities but it was Bullets who created many of them.

As it has been the case in recent games, the People’s team failed to find the back of the net as they registered their seventh draw this season.

After the match, Samuel Gunda for Kamuzu Barracks was voted man of the match.

Last Sunday, Bullets also shared the spoils with Creck Sporting on the same venue and the latest draw leaves them on the fifth position on the log table with 16 points, 10 behind league leaders Silver Strikers.

KB are perched on second position with 20 points but they can move back to third if Mighty Mukuru Wanderers wins their match against Mighty Tigers on Sunday.

Elsewhere, rookies Baka City registered their first win in the top flight as they beat Bangwe All Stars 2-nil at Karonga Stadium.

Geoffrey Mwakyembe was the first to hit the back of the net in the 51st minute and Amon Mwakitalu scored the second in the 60th minute.

The win means that the Karonga-based side has moved one step up from the bottom position as they are now on position 15 with 7 points and Chitipa United are now anchoring the log table with 5 points.

In Mulanje FOMO FC continued to shine at home as they beat Moyale Barracks 2-1 at Mulanje Park Stadium.

Hassan Lwemba and  Rashid Chilomo were on target for FOMO and the visitors got their consolation through  Lessman Singini.

FOMO are now 9th on the log table with 14 points, level with Moyale who remain eighth on the log table but the soldiers have a  better goal difference.

On Sunday, there will be a Lilongwe derby as Civil Service United hosts league leaders Silver Strikers at Civo Stadium as Chitipa United host Creck Sporting at Karonga Stadium.

In Blantyre, the big one will be between Mighty Tigers and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers as Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos hosts Karonga United.

Fourth placed Mzuzu City Hammers will be looking forward to move third on the log table as they host Salima-based soldiers Mafco FC at Mzuzu Stadium.
